As the Def Familia Blog continues to grow, I’m proud to introduce the writers and contributors who are helping us take this platform to another level.

My sons are becoming young writers themselves, sharing their perspectives on sports, life, and topics that interest their generation. As their father, it means a lot to give them a platform where they can develop their voices, express themselves, and grow as writers.

And I’m also proud to welcome Ricardo A. Hazell Sr. to the Def Familia Blog.

Ricardo is an experienced journalist, writer, and cultural storyteller with nearly 30 years of journalism experience. His work has appeared across major platforms including The Washington Post, BET, The Root, Black Enterprise, Bleacher Report, HipHopDX, EURweb, AllHipHop, and The Shadow League.

Throughout his career, Ricardo has written about hip-hop, entertainment, sports, culture, and real-world issues, bringing experience and a strong perspective to the stories he covers.
