Def Familia Boyz Took the Stage in Brooklyn — And the Crowd Showed Love

Last night was another special moment for Def Familia Boyz as they performed at Luana’s Tavern in Brooklyn, New York, during the celebration of the Sign Language Center’s 25th Anniversary.

The boys opened up the entertainment with two of their songs, “Tell Me Who You Are” and “Ball So Hard,” bringing music, movement, and sign language together on stage.

What stood out the most to me was the reaction from the crowd. People were watching, smiling, showing love, and really enjoying what the boys brought to the stage.

“Tell Me Who You Are” especially continues to connect with people every time they perform it.

As their father, I’m proud watching them become more comfortable and confident with every show.

We’ve already had opportunities to perform in New York, Harlem, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Philadelphia, at a school event, and at a graduation celebration — and we are still only getting started.

I put together a recap video from last night’s performance. It isn’t the entire show, but it gives you a look at the energy, the crowd, and another chapter in the Def Familia Boyz journey.
